"The Medium Gets The Message" with Lori Lindsey as the Medium, Morgan McFarlan as the Wife, Davry Ratcliff as the Doctor and David Krohn as the Client.
It premieres on October 5th & 6th at the King Arts Complex and then moves to the McConnell Arts Center - all shows at 8pm.
It is a ligh-hearted look at the medium-led seances of the past century complete with live music and moving sets.
David Jon Krohn performed as THE STORYTELLER at the Columbus Dance Theater, 592 E. Main street, Columbus Ohio, Jan 29,30, and Feb 5,6,7, 2009, at 8 PM and Feb 1 and 8 at 3 PM. See Columbus Dispatch Article here.
It included full-length performances of the complete AUTOBIOGRAPHY with piano accompaniment, improvisational inspiration and counsel provided by Les Kleen.

This was the premiere of "Heaven & Hell" (performed on stilts), and also included old favorites "Casey at the Bat" , "The Cremation of Sam McGee" and "General Pershing at the Front".
David is a member of Actor's Equity Association. He attended the University of Iowa, Bennington College and Columbia University in Dance, Mime and Theater. His performance combines down-to-earth storytelling (think Hal Hollbrook as MARK TWAIN, Spaulding Grey or Garrison Keeler while dancing) with a wide variety of physical skills. An audience-interactive setup leads to a hilarious ending in the curtain-raiser - General Pershing at the Front. See the video on Facebook here. He weaves his experiences as a gymnast, dancer, climber, juggler, mime and stilt-walker into his stories and bares his soul in Autobiography (all true). See a portion of the video on Facebook or youtube
He used a 15th century theatrical device to create a three-legged man and the illusion is good enough to keep you guessing. See the You-tube video
David collaborated with TIm Veach designing the set for "String Machine" - see this article in the Columbus Dispatch. His latest performance was a solo on a program
of solos on March 27, 2010. Veteran Dance Critic Barbara Zuck reviewed
it in the Columbus Dispatch and said:
"Columbus Dance Theatre
becomes a forum for solo artists this weekend in its intriguing program
Dancing Alone, which opened last night at the Downtown performance
space.
The well-known and versatile artist David Jon Krohn looks
back on a few high -- and low -- lights from his career in Wet. Krohn's
piece offers advice on how to obtain an arts grant, such as being sure
to take advantage of every opportunity offered -- when it's offered."
